Co-op Nature Preschool Mornings – Tapiola
We welcome your child into a gentle environment of a ‘Home Away from Home’. Love and emotional warmth, rather than any particular program, creates the basis for healthy child development.
Our Early Childhood programs welcome young children into a gentle environment full of beautiful, natural materials and open-ended toys that invite imaginative play.
Seasonal celebrations, festivals, and a rich community life encourage healthy, age-appropriate self-awareness and respect for others.
Children’s curiosity and self-expression are nurtured through free play, while teachers model kind and respectful interaction and interest in others, supporting social development.
Our programs balance freedom and structure, and our students engage in meaningful activities that promote support self-regulation develop large and fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, and strengthen flexible thinking, creative problem-solving, and emotional resilience.
Tapiola Nature Centre is a beautiful property of forest, fields, a creek and the North McIntyre River. We have created a nature kinder – garden for the children to play and explore next to our newly renovated field house.
The Tapiola Co-op Nature Preschool Program is 2 mornings a week – Mondays and Tuesdays. The program is offered by two teachers and is supported by a parent each morning. Parents whose children are in the program takes turns helping the teacher. Each parent will be a support person approximately one morning a week per month.
